MAUNGO CRAFT specializes in making the tastiest, LOW to NO sugar, Award-Winning, Gourmet preserves by using the indigenous fruits of Southern Africa then pairing them with contemporary flavors in order to give you unique flavor profiles. Our products are Natural and we do not use any artificial preservatives. (Thank goodness!)
By up-cycling fruits indigenous to Botswana (Southern Africa) like Morula, we are innovating and are creating a natural, reduced sugar product range unlike any other.
Our fruit preserves can be enjoyed both locally and internationally. We are developing relationships not only with individual foodies but also the food and tourism industry who are showing great interest in engaging with our young, vibrant brand.

We started out at our local Farmers market and now we distribute to Hotels, Specialty Stores and Retailers. At MAUNGO CRAFT we don’t just make fruit preserves. That’s too simple! We celebrate culture! Our aim is to become the leading indigenous fruit preserves manufacturing company in Southern Africa. Our mission is to manufacture and distribute nutritious, high-quality wild fruit preserves manufactured specifically for the local and overseas market. Our products fit exceptionally well in the tourism, retail, gifting, restaurant/food and specialty food stores.

National Winners of the Creative Business Cup Botswana. We represented Botswana in Copenhagen in November 2017.

Maungo Craft made the Front Cover of September issue of Botswana Investor Magazine, a prominent business magazine.
INNOVATION BOTSWANA 2017
We were selected amongst the first group of companies to participate in the first-ever Innovation Day Botswana hosted by Botswana Innovation Hub. This inaugural event showcased national innovations and presented a platform for dialogue on critical elements that need to be addressed to ensure progress in the agenda for innovators and technology entrepreneurs.

Winners of the Agri-Products Manufacturer of the year 2017: Botswana Farming Awards.
MARCH 2018
Represented Botswana and participated in The World Marmalade Awards (Commonwealth Category) in Cumbria, UK. We were shortlisted in the Top 7 and our marmalades were awarded a Gold.
JUNE 2018
Awarded a Bronze - Food Processing Sector: Youth Business Expo.
JULY 2018
Participated in The Summer Fancy Food Show in New York. This is the largest Speciality Food Show in the USA and we were the only company representing Botswana under the Africa Pavilion.

One of the few companies that were chosen to be interviewed by Voice of America (VOA) whilst in the USA.
AUGUST 2018
We were shortlisted by Speciality Food Magazine in the United Kingdom for the New Producer Awards (Top 5)! Speciality Food Magazine is the UK's largest circulated fine food trade magazine.
SEPTEMBER 2018
Selected as one of the Four (4) Regional Winners from the Fembiobiz Acceleration Programme Season 2 competition and we attended SLUSH in November in Finland. This is one of the largest Start-Up events that take place. Maungo Craft was the only Company from Botswana that won regionally.
NOVEMBER 2018
At The Global Expo we were Awarded Two Gold Exhibitor Awards. The first was the Botswana Pride Award and the second was the BoFINET SMME Innovation Award. In both, the judges stressed our creativity and how we embody Botswana as a Brand.
